Operations Manager – Corrugated Box Manufacturing
•Production & Efficiency: Drive daily operations for corrugators and converting machinery (die-cutting, printing, gluing) to meet production schedules.
• Quality & Waste Reduction: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance OEE, reduce scrap, and maintain quality standards like ECT/BCT targets and print
accuracy.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), ensuring a safe, 5S-compliant, and well-organized shop floor.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage production personnel, setting clear targets and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Maintenance Coordination: Partner with maintenance teams to ensure timely preventive maintenance and swift breakdown repairs.
• Inventory & Logistics: Monitor raw materials inventory (paperboard, ink) and coordinate with warehousing to manage shipping logistics
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corrugated packaging or converting manufacturing.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of corrugated manufacturing machinery (corrugator, flexo-folder-gluer, die-cutter) and process troubleshooting.
• Leadership Capabilities: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience managing large teams.
• Data-Driven: Proficiency in analyzing operational data to improve productivity, costs, and quality.
Plastic Blow / Injection Technician
• Setup and Operation: Perform mold changes, machine startups, and shutdowns according to production schedules.
• Process Optimization: Adjust machine parameters such as injection speed, pressure, temperature, and cooling time for maximum efficiency
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or process defects (e.g., flash, short shots, warping).
• Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance on machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
• Quality Control: Inspect molded parts for defects, ensuring they meet specifications using tools like calipers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, process settings, and maintenance logs.
• Safety: Adhere strictly to safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tagout).
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Vocational or Associate degree in mechanics, electronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing/plastics environment (injection molding, extrusion).
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of plastic resins Technical Expertise: Knowledge of plastic resins PET (bottles), HDPE (durable containers), PVC (pipes), LDPE (flexible films), PP (heat-resistant packaging)
and understanding of mold/tooling design.
•Skills: Proficiency with hydraulic/electric systems, troubleshooting, and reading technical drawings.
Industrial Electrician
Installation & Repair: Installing, examining, and repairing electrical wiring, conduits, switch boxes, and motors.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical malfunctions using testing devices like ammeters and voltmeters.
Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance on generators, transformers, and electrical controls to ensure operational efficiency.
System Analysis: Reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and, in some cases, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming.
Compliance & Safety: Adhering to local, state, and national electrical codes, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Hardware Setup: Working with high-voltage systems, hydraulic/pneumatic controls, and power generation components
Required Skills and Qualifications
Certification/Education: Typically requires a high school diploma, completion of an apprenticeship, and electrician certification (e.g., journeyman status)
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of electrical circuits, Three-phase power, and automation systems.
Technical Documentation: Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varied environments, stand for long periods, and lift heavy equipment.
Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills for quick repair and troubleshooting.
